Soon on car excursion to the US
Gee. My father in-law has just asked me to go along on a trip to US to buy some classic cars.
 This is a first time for me. We need to find something like: A Rolls Royce 4 door earlier than 71 and a nice Merc Pagode SL – perhaps a vintage 911.  Where do we go to find the rust free original cars in good condition?  Tx/Nev/FL popped up but would you guys recommend an area known to hold such exotics?  Is there a classic car show/auction within July somewhere? I would of course bring home a nice vintage Harley or perhaps a Boxer Cup BMW bike  The stuff will be shipped by container to Hamburg, Germany... Thomas

I would think that with that grouping of cars California would be your best bet. I would suggest using Hemmings Motor News to look for cars (its like a giant auto trader magazine) I've seen everything from 3k mile Cutlass Supreme's to 1 million dollar Ferrari's in there. Rennlist.com would probably be a good place to get familiar with because those guys eat,shit and breathe Porsches and could probably point you in a good direction.

Arriving in LAX on the 17th this month to stay for 10 days. Haven't Avis got anything bigger than a Lincoln Town car?
