^doubtful that the camaro will be more than the challenger. Bob lutz is/has been very on target w/ his prices that he states. The 300hp V6 camaro will start in the upper teens to low 20's. They are bringing it back in the old school pecking order of power as well w/ the SS being the mid model V8 and the Z/28 being the higher powered V8. So, the SS should be in the mid 20's to lower 30's depending on options selected and the Z/28 is coming as a S/C'ed LS3 and should go in the upper 30's range. Considering the less mark up on the camaro because its production #'s are going to be well above that of the challenger, I would say you could tack on 2-3 thousand to each camaro. The Z/28 should be a force to be reconed with, all power statements are under the table as of right now, but leaks say that the s/c'ed LS3 will be tuned to the area of 475-490hp.....hello pulley swap and exhast + tuning.....575-600hp easily. The SS has been leaked already to be coming w/ an even 400hp and 400tq. Even the V6 offering will sell good due to its power output and gas saving V6......mustang owners might just get delt w/ by a V6...LOL

I'm going to have to disagree with the you below.
The cost will be considerably I think than you think, so we'll have to wait and see what happens.
One thing about V6 300hp motor's are, they are not as efficient as V8's, just check out the 350z for example, and the hp under the curve V8 300hp >> 300hp V6 and cost to much.
Anyway, what ever happens, the best car in my opinion will get my sale, I do favour the Mustang but how knows, ... as long as the next one is a rag top

Doubt there will be a 20k version because what Bob Lutz said.
“We are going to be above Mustang,” Lutz said. “We have a very sophisticated suspension system and, frankly, a much nicer interior. We are not going to try and match the Mustang on price. We are going to be premium-priced compared to the Mustang.”

id shoot for the 2010 challenger / camaro. let them work out the kinks the first year. because they always make improvements on the following years.

let all people that buy the first models feel dumb for buying 10K over msrp.

Yeah, buying a car the first year it comes out usually ends poorly. Plus with the challenger if you wait you get a manual.
