Hi, I am a new member here, I am from New Zealand. I mainly joined as this is a forum for the street drag racers and other events.

I am new to CAR's. I want to know what is a Good drag car? I dont want to have a big budjet but It was around 10K-15K max. I was looking forward to buy a NISSAN SKYLINE GTR R32 or R33 what ever its called. But Its just crosses over my budjet. as i also have to add NOS and other mods.

so Depending on horsepower I reckon I will need around 500-600HP ?

I saw few preludes but as I know preludes are hard to mod and other stuff just dont let them gain horse power. I am not looking for a Sports car but some thing better then that. A performance car.

On my list I had RX7, Skyline GTR, Supra.

Please suggest me with few cars and good reasons why you picked that car.. it has to Be cheap too i guess

welcome, my advice is something with a v8 for the torque and something rear wheel drive, easiest set up to drag race with

5.0 mustang end of story. endlesss amount of boltonss, good peformance stock. break into 13s with basic bolton ftw!!

So a Mustang? how much is it under my budget?/ guys how about you also give some model num bers and other stuff?

About the V8 I am not even sure if there is any car at that price which is a V8.. is it? thanx

you can buy a 5.0 mustang for 3-5k and with the money left you could build that engine AND boost it

searched few at trademe.co.nz found the mustangs and they are way hell over the prize. And didnt find any suitable V8 good looking cups, found some but only with 200-250Hp, a Honda is faster Hp then that..

But I dont want a Honda, I want something that can give out some performance for price. And If the price goes beyond 20K then i can geta skyline GTR. But I dont want to go that far.
