Mopar gets a thumbs up from me....

If you’re in any way interested in Mopars, you probably saw the Dodge Challenger S/S concept that made the rounds last year: Flat black, lift-off hood, 392 Hemi, the works. Chrysler put a lot of effort into building two of the cars, and they performed on the strip, too, running deep into the 11’s.
Well, Allpar dropped a bombshell this morning, reporting that Chrysler will offer a Stock Eliminator-class production model as soon as March. According to Allpar, it’ll weigh in at 800 pounds under the showroom Challenger, and
This will be a special factory package built for NHRA-sanctioned Stock Eliminator drag racing. Features will include a unique serial number sequence, variations of current Hemi and 5.9 liter Magnum engines, automatic or manual transmission, and special lightweight features including:
Lightweight front fascia support system
Composite lift-off hood with functional scoop
Lightweight cooling module with electric fan
Special modified drop-out front crossmember
Lightweight drag race-only front brake assembly
Seats to accommodate six-point harness
Special Body-in-White modified for drag racing
This is one serious package that does away with such frills as windshield wipers, power windows, HVAC System, sound deadener and rear seats to create one lightweight and intense racing machine

I hope GM and Ford follow along because this would be awesome as long as they don't do the high bullshit where they give you less and charge you more.

the 6.1 Hemi is rated at 425hp, the 6.4(392) is rated at 530 ish for fuel injected and 540 for carbed

where does it list the engine mods? I read that list 3 times and didn't see it. I bet that thing will come w/ a FAT price tag, in limited production too......dealer mark-ups....Hmmmm.....$50,000+ I bet.

with 530ish and 800 lbs less than the current offerings, it should be faster than 11's.
