Default slow shifting evo?

my friend as a evo 8 and he bought it used it supposidely dyno'd at 298 wheel which is impressive but the car is slow and he says it cause he cant shift it fast... he says theres a limitation in the like the tranny or something that makes it so he has to shift really slow.. i think the guy that sold it to him just told him this because there are some tranny problems because a car thats tuned for performance should not be like that and i have never ever heard of that before... do u guys have any info on this and what it might possibly be and how to fix it this would be a huge help for me and my buddy

LMAO......I find it funny that people buy cars that are fuked up and make excuses when they dont know shit about the car itself.....LMAO.....your friend got OWNED.

could be:

Bent shift fork
throw out bearing going bad
burnt up clutch
clutch fluid needs changing
tranny fluid is nasty
slave cylinder is fuked

and the list goes on.......good luck to your slow shifting friend...LOL
