is there a difference between test pipe and down pipe? if so what is it =) thanks again guys

yes test pipe is a pipe that is stright and illegal located after the headers or sometimes turbo like in my Z and a down pipe is usually the longest pipe in the exhuast

Downpipe is from the manifold to the cat and a test pipe seems to just replace the cat with a pipe

so in simple terms its a de-cat...! and has nothing to do with a downpipe..

yea all it is, is a pipe probably 3 inch in diameter or whatever your downpipe and is the length of a catylac converter.

a test pipe wouldn't last a month in Cali, or on older cars, wont last untill u have to get that bish smoged



i say a gutted out cat would be better and more stealth, maybe not soo much better performance wise but cant be too much different from a test pipe

every two years, and the newest year is 2002 that needs a smog, and cars like over 30 years dont need any emission test or emission restrictions


but as long as we keep our Smog Test shop, i could have no exhaust and pass if i wanted lol
