i havent read most of the thread but i'll go directly to my choice. i do agree that for insurances purposes a 4 door is the way to go at your age. plus a good perfomant 4 cylinders is the only safe way to start off. also, a wrx tends to understeer like a fwd. if you can borrow a little more i'd go with either of these 2:
![]() ![]() the modded one has prolly seen some abuse but with the low mileage it may still have a few rounds left in it and the other one is almost brand freakin new if you cant: ![]() looks half riceish but it pulls a ok and for a 17 years old... the interior seems fine too. @ half the price of the others, it's a good thing to have some left overs for expected repairs plus some money to treat your lady. a car like this has still some 5 years to it... just so you have time to get a good idea for yourself. and with all the mods already done to it, it won't loose much in value should you want to resell, not like those newer ones above... the only downside is the auto but you get that kickass stereo... oh and auto is good for the insurance

Good luck finding an Evo under 20k that isn't worn the f*** out.
I'd shoot for a 4 door BMW 330 manual of 00-02, or 05-06 Cobalt SS, or Mazda RX8, or 01-04 Audi S4. I don't know your taste, so I made the choices a bit broad.
