1500 investested into it and it runs a 12.9. catback and upping the boost.

Oh....I6, yeah we have those....they come in the Jeep gran cherokee and I'm sure they last longer than the bmw version, as my wifes is a 2000 jeep gran cherokee and it just turned 147,000 miles and all I did was replace the battery so far.

Why is it nessesary that when someone down plays a bmw people have to throw in that "but it a luxury car" thing? That's almost in the lines of a ricer saying...."yeah, but I get better gas mileage"

Trailblazers have I6s in em too there was a Nova wagon that went to drag week that ran low 9's I believe with one nice big turbo on it too

Because its a convenient excuse as to why its not as fast as the competition. A built in crutch. You dont see me entering in my camaro at Pebble Beach concours show car event and then saying, well, its not pristine and luxurious b/c its a muscle car. The same way any bmw owner shouldnt talk about racing and then use the disclaimer, well, its slower b/c its a luxury car. Speaking of which, I have many friends with 3 series...its "near luxury" or "entry level" luxury, in line with acura TL, audi a4, G35 etc. When you get into 5 series level, then you can start talking about it being a luxry car. a 3 series isnt that opulent... very spartan interior, pales in comparison to the a4.

honestly, if I were looking for a luxury car on the lower end (like 30 grand) I'd buy a chrysler that has enough room to actually have a legitimate claim at luxury, and if I were looking for a straight up performance car I'd buy a gto, but if I wanted something that is comfy but is also fast enough to be fun and looks good enough to impress high school girls, I'd buy the bimmer.
