And your a moron for even saying that. The NFS series didn't turn into "ricer games" until NFS:Underground. Before that it was, for the most part, un-tunable exotics. I played Underground and I play Underground 2 and find them entertaining to a certain extent. When I play I make my cars look like something I would actually drive in real life, however that is not the case for most people. However if your looking for a game that is partially real, go get a PS2 and GT4.

I think that the F&F has alot to do with how the direction of some of these racing games has gone, they just think it's cool I guess(the game developers). But I'm sure they did their research and found that if they just throw in all these common tuner cars and give people an "unlimited" set of options for them, they will make everyone happy. Unfortunately they didn't make it so that you can't put 22'' spinners on a Mustang GT, along with a garbage disposal body kit. UGH.

I'm still going to play NFS:Most Wanted just to see what it's all about, if I really hate it, I won't play it. Again though, if I find it slightly entertaining I will be playing it all the time.

well said, sp3ak. I remember playing NFS. the original one. I had the demo of that. It was the blue rt-10 viper on the first costal course. I also loved taking the diablo and 512 through alpine and city. Anyone remember that? oh how i miss those simpler times :mecry:

As for new games today, people just want more options and flexibility so they can do whatever they feel like they should be able to do in a game. Need for speed has turned into a ricer game....but only if you add ricer things to your car. mine were always tasteful and clean except when i needed the point multipliers you get from all that sh!t on there. :banghead:

dinner time, you guys enjoy AND GO FIND NFS1!!!

The original NFS still has the best gameplay idea in my opinion. I wish that
EA would make a new version of the old game; if the graphics and physics
engines were on par with the newer games it would more than compete.
Plus if I remember right EA partnered with Road and Track magazine to
ensure that the game had accurate 0-60 and top speeds, etc. Another
cool thing was that it had videos and histories of all the cars. I still have mine around here somewhere...

Oh yeah they for sure messed up the speed/distances/times in U2.... 400-500hp(so they say on their in game dyno) cars running the 1/4 in 7-8 seconds... Yeah ok. 0-60 in 2 seconds or less, mmmhmm.

They went for visual, not realism. The GT series went for realism, not visual
