GTA: IV

i got it this morning at blockbuster, the special edition too lol, played it for like 10 mins, then i had to go to work but now i got my energy drinks and beef jerky, so its gonna be a long night hahaha

well ive been playing it all night pretty much lol, and all i have to say is wow.... just the detail, even the stupid detail, like doing a burnout for so long that you blow out the tires and roll on just the rims, then trying to outrun the cops with no traction is a pretty good challenge lol

I love the cars. It unrealistic to see so much muscle driving around the city, but I am not complaining. I knew it was going to be good when the VERY first car I see when I start actually playing the game is an Escort Cosworth. I chased that MoFo for over 12 blocks so I could steal his car.

Some of the cars that SHOULD handle well are just as boat-like as the plain jane cars. The best one I've found so far is the C5.

As for fighting, I hope thats an improvable skill level, because I'm so used to San Andreas where I can beat anyone to death for their cash. This russian guy gets his ass kicked by regular people. He just doesn't punch fast enough.

I'm glad you can skip through the "movie" scenes, because they come WAY too often.

Thats my first impression from the 30 minutes I played it last night. I can't wait to get past all the beginning fluff and to the real action.

i played for about 2 hours liked the lock on stuff. the cars are fun. missons are kinda boring at least right now. and the way it looks i was kinda dissapointed. maybe i got a defective one or something but if somethings about a block away it looks blurry and grainy as hell anyone else have this problem?

you got the 360 version? we've got some of that even at 1080p... GTA games have never really looked amazing compared to other games for that system. Hell, just look at COD4. but GTA just has so much more on the screen that the detail had to be brought down a tad.
