Default Crysis for the PC

Anyone have or play it yet? I built a new computer over christmas and downloaded the demo and think it is pretty badass game. I can run the game on med settings and get 50fps or on high and get 25fps it's a demanding game.

i played parts of it at school the people in the game design program get their own lab with brand new alienware computers used for 3d modeling and what not . a guy installed it on there and it was beautiful.

the A.I didnt seem that smart but the fact that there were so many makes it challenging

yeah, bought it a while back, great game, looks beautiful on max ( i put alot of money into my pc for my b-day ) and the gameplay was fine, but i've seen much better A.I., for instance, Rainbow Six: Vegas, that A.I. was very well done

I too just built up a new computer - Quad core, 2.4GHz, 2GB 800MHz RAM, adn an ATi Radion HD 3850 Video card with 256MB, XP SP2.
The demo wouldn't play at all - it loaded and even the intro was at like 1 frame per 2 seconds. Couldn't even exit - had to kill it.

Any idea what could be wrong? What video card are you guys using?

Well - it's actually the first and only game I've tried so far. Good idea with the video drivers - I'll check ATI's site.

OK - installed the latest driver. Now when the game loads, I get some wacky colors, and then that clears up, but it's still super slow. The intro cannot be watched - it plays at about 1 frame per 2 seconds. It's terrible!
Maybe something is wrong with the uber box I built. I selected components primarily for video editing, and encoding, which it does really well.

I think I'll try another demo.
Thanks for the help!

-Joe
