to tell the truth, I'm dissappointed in the major game systems out right now. Yeah, the game play is good and the graphics are good too, but they all have a LOT of bugs to get worked out. The xbox 360 is a hit or miss system w/ its taking a dump on people. The PS3 is wayyyy to much $$$ for what you get and plenty of people have had theirs crap out as well. I'll stick to my PS2 and PC games, neither of those 2 have ever let me down.

But get's replaced completely for free . I am one of those who got a hit and haven't had a problem.

^ yes, but there are those that have had to return several. Then comes the waiting time if none are in stock. I'm just saying that for the price of these new systems they should NOT crap out on you. They need to build a system that can take some serious game time w/ out over heating or just plain crapping out. IMO, the Wii is the most fun to play and I don't think they have been breaking either......then again people have been playing and let go of the controller and it smasher their 50' plasma tv....lol.....OWNED by themselves.

to tell you the truth i think its an ok deal if it takes a crap with in the first year you get a new one and if it takes a crap later and you have a warranty you get a newone. and plus the ps3 you get a blue ray player with it blue ray players alone can cost more than a stack. so it really isnt that bad.

didnt take much time for me to get mine back....thats because im close to texas (california) and the repair/return center is in texas, so it doesnt take that longh to ship

and yea the ps3 is a excelent deal b/c like Evil said, any other blue ray player is at least $1,000 and you cant even play games on them lol my dad is gonna be picking one up for our theater system pretty soon



btw for the 5 blue ray movies thingy....after you buy it, u gotta wait for a list to come in the mail, that tells you which movies you are able to get for free....its not any movie

Still a pain in the ass shipping it out and whatnot you shouldn't have to deal with that after paying {in most peoples cases} $400+

The main reason WHY I bought the PS3 is not just for the gaming, it's the Blue-ray drive and the potential of the Cell Processor (8 cores). It's a fantastic multimedia center with lots of ports, such as HDMI, Bluetooth, USBs etc. I've got a big 40' HDTV plus I'm a movie freak so everything fits perfectly for my need. Currently Blue-ray store is big and getting bigger so there's only good stuff to come.

I'm thinking long term you know, the future lies within Blue-ray and Cell Processor. Cell Processor is something new which of course currently harder to program but with its software development it's getting better.

Beside this I just don't get all the whining of the PS3s high cost. God damn it the PS3 has Blue-ray drive and a Cell Processor. Check out what a Blue-ray player alone cost today in comparison. Secondly it cost 850 dollar per PS3 to produce so the Sony is actually loosing money, aprox 350 dollars per console.

Someone said there's much bugs in the new games for the next gen console. Well let me explain that the new console has internet connection. I've already got 3 games for my PS3 and all the games are updated from the net with fix-up or what ever. With the next gen console you can play the game online, do both hardware and software updates. As I see it it's nothing to worry about.

If you're thinking long term and don't care only for gaming I recommend everyone to buy a PS3. I've owned the console for couple of months now and I must say I'm VERY satisfied.
