I just got the game last Friday. I know kinda late but I thought I was gonna sell my PS2. Anyway I want to join this challenge thing you guys got going on. So I thought I would create a challenge of my own.

My Challenge:

Car Used: Subaru WRX STI 02'
Mods: Fully Modded (All possible parts) But Didnt Use Nitrous.
Personal Tuning: None
Track: Nurburgring
Lap Time: 7'30.975
(I know I couldve done better but I had crazy understeer)

Anyone Game?

Alright same specs as above regarding track, car, parts and tuning. But I improved my time. I just got a time of

Lap Time: 7'12.791

So this is the new time to beat.

how much hp is your sti?

524HP. Thats with all the performance mods and no personal tuning or oil change.

its been a while since i played but i got a 7'43.675 and your right w/o tuning that thing has crazy understeer

For the run that I got 7'12.791. I tried to combat the understeer. So in that lap in GT4, I turned harder into the apex with slight braking (depending on turn). Seemed to work, according to my time. I experienced less understeer. But you have to be careful of oversteer. In my first run (the old time) I braked into a turn and gased it in the middle. Rear end snapped out and I slightly overcorrected it but was able to get a nice slide in the gravel and get the car back onto the road, instead of spinning into a wall. I love how this game is so realistic to the driving characteristics of real life cars.

Nice Time BTW EVILZ33. I honestly think I got lucky with the 7'12.791. I havent been able to replicate or beat that time. But I have proof of the time if anyone doubts it.

Anyone else want to try the challenge?

7'01.45....with a lot of crashing. I think it could easily drop to 6'50.00 with a little practice (and I need to max out the downforce).

I have proof of the times, just need a little free time to transfer from the SD card. Officially in the 6's now

For what it's worth I use N2O liberally and the "Original" turbo kit you can buy in the tuner section has 3 less HP than the stage 5 but it pulls way harder all through the midrange. It allows me to space the gears further apart and shift less that the laggy stg 5 kit.

Ripped off a 6'41.176 first time out with 2 crashes, no nitrous ~500hp.

2nd Run with tuning (no nitrous):

-6'33.332
