Default Being Uncooperative @ a checkpoint

Anyone care to try acting like this at their next DUI checkpoint? Do us all a favor and film it. Should be entertaining no matter what the result

I wonder how that would have turned out with a seasoned officer, and not a rookie.

Yeah, he was a ****, but I agree with his purpose. Those checkpoints aren't just about illegals, its stops and checks on the business of mostly your average citizen, who has a right AGAINST being stopped without a purpose specific to them. Blanket stops are illegal.

Civil Disobediance is an important part of nation's heritage.

I have to go through USMC checkpoints all the time. If that dude gave our Marines that kinda lip, they would hauled him through the window, smashed his camera, and gave him a free tattoo on the forehead from a remington shotgun butt stock. Trust me, they dont put up w/ shit around here.

to get on base, or just on a public road? When I drive onto base, sure I'm cooperative, but driving onto a military installation is a choice you make, knowing the searches that could entail. Public roads are different. Now, if I hit one of those checkpoints on the street, I'd hold out the creds and probably be waved on without every having come to a full stop, but if I were a regular joe I'd be pissed.

Imagine one of these checkpoints placed along your morning commute. Would you not think it was BS?

They have the gate post, but they also have check points on base just to make sure people are not drinking and driving and seat belt usage and what not. It's cool by me, my son gets a kick out of getting the car checked, he likes to ask the Marines " can I see your shot gun" or "can you shoot a bad guy for me"....They get a kick out of it too.
