what the hell was that yellow thing?? some type of barrier that pops up when the clerk pushes a panic button??

yup. we have them over here in some banks and petrol station. not sure where the clip was from tho

We have them over here in every bank. The ones here are triggered by pressure sensors in the counter tops as well as a cashier override.
