DAMN!!!! Why wasn't the cop off onto the shoulder lane is my question? That explains why my package was late to arrive.

Hmmmm, well people stop on the side like that here all the time, and I never see the cruisers stop in the moving lane like that. You would think he would use better judgment in poor visibility like that too.

Judging by the fact it was really bad driving conditions he probably didn't want anyone to slide into them.

I can see that, but what creates a bigger problem, the fact that someone might slide into a car parked off the highway, or a vehicle completely stopped in a moving lane, in the dark, in poor visibility?

If someone can't see a cops flashing blue lights in the dark while driving they shouldn't be on the road.

Understandable, but all scenarios aren't the same, in this case visibility was low, and it was dark, and wet, so maybe you see the lights but can't differentiate whether he is in the far left lane, or actually on the shoulder. By the time you realize, you are boxed in and get get to the right. You hit your brakes, but the road is wet, and you are hauling 80,000 lbs. so you start sliding, and now you're effed. IMO it turned a bad situation into a worse one. In normal driving conditions it's probably ok.

DANG!!! The rear wheel of that truck looked like it hit the drivers door of that red car - did the people in there die or what??
