Blu-Ray=Better medium for storage/More expensive to make
HD-DVD=Less expensive to make/more profit for manufacturers
Wii=Dedicated gaming system
PS3=Multimedia system

Sony is losing tons of money with the PS3, looks like they are in the same position Microsoft was with the original X-box. Hope this strategy works for them. MGS 4 and GTHD are what I'm waiting for so eventually I'll get one. And as for the Wii, who isn't a fan of The Legend Of Zelda, I'm getting one of these.

wow looks just as bad as there last systerms.who plays mario and zelda still.its like playing sonic the hedgehog.it was good when i was 7 but that was 20years ago.very poor graphics as well

gamers are pretty much a generational thing, nintendo didnt adapt to their following. most younger kids now f around with pc games more.

Blue Ray is Blue Gay
theres nothing special about it, if you have a dual Layer DVD and a dual Layer Burner You can use the real capacity of a DVD i regularly make dvd's with about 16gB of music and just snap it into my Dvd player

i never understood nor will ever understand why companies always come out with new "hot" sh1t, if they cant even master what they have already thrown on the market, i guess its because of stupid f#cking retards that throw themselves at ANYTHING, and yes im talking about all you god damn whores Who waited in LINES to buy your stupid PS3 or XboX 360 !!! HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT THIS KIND OF SH!T AT THAT KIND OF PRICE TO TOP IT OFF!!!!!!!

It costs Sony $800+ to make each PS3, PS3 is currently 2nd in Japan, behind the Wii and 3rd here in the states once again behind the Wii in system sales. But that's because Sony can't make systems fast enough and didn't intially offer as many systems as Nintendo. UMD is dead/dying a slow death and Blue-Ray just might be next it's too early for it imho. I'm still gonna get one eventually but the 360 would probably be 1st. Zelda and Mario are games that tons of people(kids and adults) still play similar to the Madden series that just adds a slight improvements but people still buy'em.
