Good lesson for everyone. Never take your two feet off the ground while pumping gas. Or always ground your self before touching the nozle.
And if i was her, once that fire started, i would of ran for the hills. Never take out the nozle once a fire has started. ![]() |

i heard a radio report on this....
what most probably happened was when she sat down and rubbed against the seat she generated a bit of electricity... this ignited the vapour... good thing for the valve... if i saw fire coming out of the thing i would absolutely shit myself to think the flame would go in and down to the motherload of fuel... eep! |

It wasn't her fault, the fire seemed to be caused by a spark created when she rubbed her sweater, like when you get shocked when you touch that kind of fabric
. I had never thought of that, from now on i won't rub my clothes while filling my car's tank , she was really brave when taking the pump away from the jeep ![]() |
