I know when I had my '94 SHO, I beat quite a few GT's. Most were red-to-red runs, but on the track the SHO would really hook up well. Throw some stantions in the ass-end of it to reduce the trunk-dragging suspension from compressing.

1994 SHO stock: 15.2 seconds @ 92.5 mph - 0-60:6.6 seconds
1994 GT stock: 15.2 seconds @ 89.6 mph - 0-60:6.7 seconds

So they were pretty much on par w/ eachother, but I could pile more people in my SHO, and it was more comfortable.

I can't wait fo the new SHO - I think it'll be made of win!

They may not have been the fastest thing out there, but for a 4 door family sedan - and w/ the power they had available - they were considered sporty.

The new SHO will be heavier then the GT as well as a 6-speed auto, so it shouldn't smoke it too bad. It's also more expensive then a GT.

Gt comes in at what weight? 3500-3600 lbs? that sedan can't be much more than that, the taurus aint no big car.

I just don't see it being faster then the GT, that would be like GM making the new Camaro faster than the vette, it just does not make sense.

Tell that to Mazda, their Mazdaspeed 6 beats their RX8, and even GM back in the day had the GNX running pretty good with the C4.

The SHO and a GT are both going to be N/A cars

when you add FI into the picture vs N/A most variables can be thrown out, unless you are talking about some weak ass turbo civic vs. a 502ci N/A or some other crazy comparo.

HAHAHAHAHA, wasn't there a ricer with a Miata a while back who didn't like LSXs cause they made bottom end power, he much preferred engines that only made "power" on top.

Nice car.

Was a fan of the SHO's. screaming yamaha motors.
However the V8 3.4L was a turnoff.
