No, I dont think she got lucky.

My winter beater I purchased it wth 132,000 mi and have about 178,000 mi on it right now. The car's a 1994 Bonneville, once I got into it, drove it, popped the hood, I knew it was maintained right so i bought it.
To date, repairs;
- Patched (cheaped out and did not replace) stock SS exhaust
- Replaced stock starter.
(Still has stock alternator or looks that way, maybe previous owner replaced it and new battery from previous owner)

Not to mention, the last 3years it not driven for the 5 spring/ summer / fall months, but only winter driven.
A car this old that sits that long typically falls apart, not this one thou.
Point being any car hit 180k mi or more, but what did you have to dump into it?
I dont think (could be wrong) that this granny dumped all kinds into it to keep it going cause her sons would have stooped her.
