Driver has a role to play in it, but Fox body stangs have an inherent flaw with their rear suspension design (which probably helped fuel that myth that ALL american cars dont handle). They had a 4 link, which in theory helped control lateral and fore-aft motion of the axle with as few pieces as possible.... BUT, the arms move in non-parallel arcs... so they eventually bind when the car is pushed a bit harder and the result is snap oversteer.

K&N filter with modified lid, 52mm TB, ported plenum, Edelbrock High Flo runners, Lingenfelter manifold, ported aluminum heads, Custom grind camshaft by DRM, Roller rockers at 1.5, High flow stainless valves, high perf springs, chrome moly rods, high volume fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, MSD ignition, LT ceramic coated headers, full stainless exhaust out straight pipes, All that and it still won't beat an LS1.
