The Z06 is made as America's Supercar that just happens to be way less than the Viper. Anyone know how much the 07 Cobra is supposed to be? Prolly around the same price, because if GM can sell it for that then Ford will sell it for around the same amount. It was a good race.

if the z06 raced a 912 rwhp saleen, if you took a 30k stang and put 38k into it, shit, if my aunt had a penis she'd be my uncle, the z06 is fast with class, no one ever said it was unbeatable in a roll race, but there is no way you could make a 68k stang be a better overall performer than the z06 meaning quicker in the 1/4 mile, higher top speed, faster around a track and retain the streetability of the z06 all in one package, if anyone thinks they can, then you need to make an offer to ford for a position in engineering.

i soooo agree with subyguy2006 zo6 or any corvette for that matter is stupid u pay way to much for a 2 seater thats not practical. chevy has to use 7 liters for the z06 and 6 liters for the c6 to make 500 hp. thats retarded!!!! WHILE FORD uses 4.6 liter engine with 4 seats and 400 h.p with only 8 psi boost for 32K while the zo6 uses the ls7 (7liter) and only makes 505 h.p for 65K!!!!! yeah !!

SVT Cobra is not in the same league as a Z06. Mustangs were never in the same league as Corvettes. C6 Z06 is a near supercar with the performance it offers: 505HP race car derived motor with lightweight alloys and dry sump system , light body, superb handling. And the price, you cannot beat it! It's an amazing bang for buck.

I tought only the Honda guys used the engine size argument

There is one around here that made 579rwhp and 565 rwtq w/ headers and a cam (un-tuned) and at 3152 lbs, that already is sickness.

While the LS7 is impressive, I think this would have been extremely close without the belt slipping. While most of you guys pick on the Mustang for its excuse of a belt slipping (which is obvious if you know what it is) nobody picks on the Vette for the 3rd gear miss. The video makes it clear that there was great respect for both cars, and they honestly wanted to see which was faster. Let's leave it at that.
