I understand the math but honestly do you think a half second, and that is a half second only obtainable by a professional driver, really makes that huge a difference? The truth is, and I don't know what kind of driver you are, that for the overwhelming majority of people who can afford this car, most of them will never be able to exploit the true potential of this or any other car they own. My point is that I don't want a car that is so technically advanced and F1 like that it practically drives itself. I realize that this is a stretch and the F430 doesn't drive itself but a Ferrari to me is a hand built piece of art, that excites me like no other car. Some are faster, better handlers, more practical, cheaper and so on but I want to know that "Vinchenzo and Maria" labored long and lovinly to assemble my car and I'm driving not so much a car as I'm driving passion itself. Ferrari's are rolling sex, objects of desire and lust and the F430 seems like an ssembled "super car" more like a Ford or GM. If you ever get the chance to see Top Gear from England and watch the episode where Jeremy Clarkson compares old super cars to their modern replacements and why he thinks the F40 is the greatest "super car" ever made that should explain my point of view.

Well actually ferraris are more and more easier to drive. So what happens when you only need to smash on the gas pedal and shift gears by pressing paddles... And you're saying 0.5s is absolutely meaningless
. And yup I watched many top gear episodes. But that's jeremy's point of view, not mine . |
