Default A suggestion? D.I.Y forum?

I was thinking maybe we could have a D.I.Y forum basically having people posting up there knowledge on how to do it yourself D.I.Y with instructions with pictures etc..." would be good for those who would love to know more about cars etc.... Or is this already been posted?

cheers

Good idea and all, but only a select few here actually turn wrenches themselves.

^ considering the # of members that actually post, I bet less than 25% have actually done all the work to their cars themselves (besides tuning).

yea true...

doing the labor yourself is more funner and u get the pride of knowing u did it

i plan to do all the mods myself to my evo (when i get it atleast lol) except for like cams/cam gear (well maybe) and tunning....maybe trans stuff i would leave for the professionals

^ your cams are easy to replace. Study up on the swap and make sure you have the right tools for the job and it will be easy. Wish I was there to help.

I've been a wrench for 10+ years now and this is a good idea but isn't that what the tech section was for

yeah seriously, I've done a h/c swap on an ls1 before (helping not all of it) and omg it was a nightmare, so little space, a simple ohc design on a 4 banger cant be bad at all

I would do my exhaust and gears myself, but I dont have a pipe bender and welder, for the gears lol, id mess something up.

Come tax return I'm gonna buy a PI swap, but with better cams and heads and try to do that myself.

you are headed for trouble, if you think working on a ohc is easier then a cam/head swap on a v8 let alone a ls1 you need to look into medical attention. and if you think your gonna do your gears yourself................ you ARE gonna blow that diff.

do some.......... alot of reading before you try anything to your ford.

Is there a problem with him just speeding up the process of another ford blowing up?
