that looked like it hurt. shame to see he really tried to fix the problem too, his hands were white nuckle on the steering wheel trying to turn it

Doesn't matter if he had opposite lock on... In today's F1 cars, the aerodynamics are so sensitive that when you have more than 4 or 5 degrees of slip angle in a medium-high speed corner like that, you've lost the vast majority of the downforce. We all know what losing downforce does to your ability to control a car. It probably also didn't help that the air flow through the underbody diffuser was stalled by the slight elevation in the middle of the curb. If you look carefully, its only when the entire center section of the car is over the curb that the back steps out. Stuff like this just makes me look forward to next year when the downforce levels get cut drastically by the new technical regs; we may actually see F1 cars sliding visibly when it isn't raining!
