Josh is actually a member of Team NABR. Converting a DSM to RWD isnt as easy as pulling a front driveline since there isnt one. They are a transverse transmission with a viscous coupler center diff. This particular car has been converted to Longitudinal engine layout with a Mitsu truck tranny. It requires motor mounts and a tranny mount fabricated, but as you can see he had lots of fun.

You can't convert a DSM to a longitudinal engine layout without some SERIOUS work. And that car did not look to have had it done. The center diff was gone therefore applying power to the rear. And it's just not that easy to convert one to rear drive. Plus the rear end cannot handle 100% power especially under that abuse.
