He was being gentle to his tranny...haha. I would to, if I didnt want anything to break. I like the part where he waited for the camaro and then floored it to end it. I wish my third gear was that good...my third gear didnt hold up to those v8s at the track, but I got them in 1st and 2nd...good enough for me..haha.

DSM 4g63 Nissan sr20 Nissan vg30dett Nissan RB20det, RB25det, RB26dett Toyota 1jz Toyota 3sgte Mazda 13bt rotary. VW 1.8t There are a few more. I have never seen an american made motor make it with that kind of boost. maybe a dodge srt-4 will do it (which is a variation in the mistu 420a motor). Honda/acura engines wont do it. Small/big block gm/ford/mopar wont do it.

I said "what engines will stand up to 20+ lbs of boost," not what will make 500hp.
If you want highest horspower done regularly on stock internals, here are a few examples: Nissan vg30det (3.0L V6) will hold up at 550hp at the wheels Toyota 1JZ (3.0L I6) will hold 700hp+ at the wheels Nissan RB26dett (2.6L I6) will go 700hp+ at the wheels Mazda 13bt (1.3L Rotary) 550hp at the wheels Notice that all these are over 500hp, all are at the wheels, all are around half the displacement of your ford 5.0. If you know a lot about all types of engines, you will see that "ricer" engines may be small, but they can pack a punch. Ever see an SR20 connecting rod compared to a Chevy Pink rod? You will see that even though the nissan rod is going into an engine that is less than half of the size of the mouse motor, the rod is amazingly beefy. As for me, I am not a muscle car guy, I am not a ricer. I don't have a bias towards either one. Just standing back looking at all the muscle car guys say how shitty import stuff is, and all the import guys saying how shitty the domestic stuff is.

The 1985 Buick Gran National V6 can take 25 psi of boost on stock internals. My friend is constantly running 25 psi, the only mods done to his Gran National is heavyer fuel injectors, VR racing intake manifold, Sparco intercooler, a custom burnt computer, larger turbo (that is all he will tell me about the turbo cause he wants to spank my Nova and he dosent want me knowing his little secret), and a shift kit. Ford 5.0 motors have forged pistons and rods along with a forged steel crank and will make more then 500 hp with stock internals. I have seen Mustangs with stock internals running as much as 18 psi of boost on a daily driven car. I am sure that they could hit and run at 20 psi.
