wasn't it a 2L turbo? At 1bar the displacement is effectively doubled and if that car was racing it would be safe to say he was running at least 1bar = ~4L. Then add the weight and AWD arguement....

I wonder how many more threads there will be with this exact same arguement? as old as this one is...

Shawn kicked his ass, shawn smoked him, shawn got em dude.

That wasn't even an 8th of a mile race, AWD traction ownz and I wouldn't call that a race.

seems to me ricers always say you gotta bigger engine. awd vs rwd on street tires from a dig is a no brainer it did appear to me the ta was closing back in but the dsm was quick.

Just let em' say what they want about muscle. There's a reason we call it "muscle". The capability of "muscle" is far greater than that of smaller displacement motors, such as 2 liter, 4 cylinder motors, at least when speaking of drag racing. Most v8 setups are capable of making more than twice the amount of power on pump gas than 4 cylinder setups (whether they actually are or not) simultaneously doing it more reliably, too. So of course, always expect the v8 RWD to suck at launch on street tires because it has more power with less tire being used on the pavement. Street slicks are all the TA needed to tie that race. It wasn't a bad defeat, looked to be 2 maybe 3 car lengths which is about what the AWD put on the TA at the launch. Regardless, the AWD is still fast.
