Ain't nothin wrong with no domectic cars. A brand new Mustang Cobra is faster than pretty much any Japanese import I can think of that's currently for sale in America, or probably ever was for sale here. Corvette's are even faster. Handling wise, the Vette will take just about anything else out there, and the Cobra ain't too bad either. Pontiac's comin out with the Solstice, and that's gonna be about on par with most imports (except the 350Z and maybe S2000 or RX8) speed wise, but should be with them on handling. Well, maybe not the 4 wheeled motorcycle Honda...

no offence to domestic guys, but i dont like cars you can see daily because i live in a small(small like 30,000 maybe) and for corvettes(ZO6) theres a burgandyw/a tan soft top, Yellow, blue wit 2 white stripes w/a red trim, Black, and red! and i see them daily! and theres about 20 more various years of vettes here! then comaro's? man theres lots for a small place. But my "japanese" Isuzu I-mark w/the lotus suspension, is fun as hell, fuel efficeint, and pretty quick for a N/A 1.6 sedan four door, I have seen about 6 in my life(my mom bought the car NEW in 90, and its easy to spot, ive seen two other sedans). If you look at most imports(not civics, i dont even concider it an import) there is quite a few in comparison to domestic. Mustang cobra, pffft! how fast can you take a corner in a cobra, can it beat a NSX?, or a 2JZ supra, or a 3rd gen RX7?, or a 3000GT, or a 300ZX TT, or........??? i aint tryin to piss no-one off but ****, them japanese guys are smart! any one can slap a V8 in a chassis and say its faster then a N/A four or six cyl ! Go drop a cobra jet in a first ge RX7 and shit yer pants! \
Im tired now ,
so peice!

Just so you know......Option did a test with top drivers in numerous "High Performance" cars, i.e. Ferrari, Honda NSX, Skyline GTR, Porsche, Evo VIII, and your precious Corvette ZO6. Guess who came in last after 5 laps? Yep thats right, ZO6. Oh, and all cars were stock. The Porsche, NSX, and EVO are are for sale in the states. Just thought you'd like to know......maybe for next time.

Well, lets compare price tags now...Ferrari, cheapest is a $160,000 360 Modena; NSX $70-80K; Porsche=70K for a "base" Carrera that genrally gets whupped by the Vette step up to the Turbo and you're around $120,000 and the GT3 that beats most anything is around $130,000 and basically a watered down (very slightly) race spec car. The Evo VIII, what can I say Mitsu did their job right with that thing. It has always put up some of the best handling numbers I've ever seen and outruns a base Vette. I'm not sure what the Skyline costs in US$, I've generally seen people say around $50-60K which puts right at the top of the Vette's range. The Mustang Cobra howeveris at a price very near the Evo's and the Cobra R from a few years ago dominated on the track and runs around the Vette's price. In the range of the NSX we have the Viper GTS from a couple years ago. It was tested for fun against a Yamaha R1 I think and actually was faster on the track while slower at the strip. This was being ridden by people who specialize in each type of vehicle. And mind, you, I'm not trying to say imports suck or American cars are the best, but there's no need to be saying that because its American it sucks. Give credit where credits due. We can make some damn good cars too.
