I don't think there is any american teams in F1, I guess they are satisfied with the indy car thing. WRC and SCCA ProRally (US rally series) both started the same year I believe can't find who did first though. WRC is much more popular its amazing that we had a similar thing here for 30 years and I've only seen like lil pieces here and there on tv but I've watched WRC stuff since I was like 7

Ford is a major player in WRC as well as SCCA Roadrally Racing but the Subaru is and has been a great car for years in Rally Racing.
Let me fix this for some people......Below stats SCCA Roadrally! With 266 cars entered in the 2007 RoadRally season, Subaru proved that all-wheel drive is just as impressive on pavement as on dirt, and accumulated 778 points to win the RoadRally Manufacturers’ Championship. Ford finished second with 500 points, followed by Chevrolet in third with 406 points. Last edited by LAsBestcom; 05 Jan 2008 at 04:49 am. |

I think GM backed the IROC series before it ended (all firebirds) was pretty cool the cars looked like a pack of skittles when they race. O i also forgot about stuff like the Baja 1000 its actually been going on longer than the Dakar Rally. |

Yes, Loeb is a great driver and has a great crew chief and Team! When he came to the US he did a great job for the first time Testing a Honda concept car on Pikes Peak with Millen Racing.
I didnt know Ford was so strong in WRC they racked up the most points in Manufacturers / Teams and 2nd , 3rd place in Drivers Championship Thanks for the link! |

Or how about he go out and actually get some instruction/seat time at any one of the entry level racing programs that exist in the US? I thought it was f****ng moronic that he showed up to trial for a factory team without even having the appropriate competition license (or any competition license for that matter). Go spend a year or two in SCCA club racing learning some car control before you use daddy's money to play with the pros. I've been racing since I got my driver's license at 16 (and could get my race license), and I'd still hesitate to step into that Viper he was driving. Dumbass all around.
