WWW.TORQUECENTRAL.COM Ls1 swaps into FB's, FC's, and FD's is pretty common. I have 4 friends in the Central Indiana area alone with them.

this is just sad. and i thought JGTC supras ran on the 4 cyl 2.0L turbo also used in rally celicas...maybe i'm mistaking though...my knowledge is greatly limited.
And i know it's kinda common to swap an american V8 into a RE...i just don't approve it. I remember last year at the first drift event here a guy showed up with a LS1 FC and he got Boo'ed at....and his car was a really good drag car but...just not setup for drift. I'm a jap fanatic and i hate american motor, and i think putting a US motor in a JDM machine is the worse thing you can do. :banghead: There are plenty of good JDM swaps possible and the jap engines are often sold at ridiculous prices. But that's just me. I guess if that much people go for the V8 swap it must have a few advantages...lightness (aluminium block) and torque for example. You'll just never see me riding in such a car.
