Sound doesn't match the car at all. Needs to be in the Mazda section.

Lots of people are putting the LS1/LS6 engines in several cars. From M3's to 350Z's. The LS series engines are very very light and compact and pack an extraordinary punch and the aftermarket for them is crazy full.

sorry guys got carried away...i hate GM V8. That is the best way to ruin a good jap car....stick a V8 in. As i always said....how would people react if i came up with a Shelby Cobra with a RB26DET in it?

Good to see a decent motor in a japper finally. There is a S4 Rx7 in Auckland, NZ, with a Carb 350 Chev in ti. Mental thing as well

plenty of jap vehicles have v8's in em. next skyline MIGHT have one. plenty of jgtc supras are running the 5.0liter century engine, and SCC's next engine for their 350z is probably gonna be a vh or vk.

Ls1 swaps into FB's, FC's, and FD's is pretty common. I have 4 friends in the Central Indiana area alone with them.

this is just sad. and i thought JGTC supras ran on the 4 cyl 2.0L turbo also used in rally celicas...maybe i'm mistaking though...my knowledge is greatly limited.
And i know it's kinda common to swap an american V8 into a RE...i just don't approve it. I remember last year at the first drift event here a guy showed up with a LS1 FC and he got Boo'ed at....and his car was a really good drag car but...just not setup for drift. I'm a jap fanatic and i hate american motor, and i think putting a US motor in a JDM machine is the worse thing you can do. :banghead: There are plenty of good JDM swaps possible and the jap engines are often sold at ridiculous prices. But that's just me. I guess if that much people go for the V8 swap it must have a few advantages...lightness (aluminium block) and torque for example. You'll just never see me riding in such a car.
