That footage in Japan was really old, did you see how young Chunky Bai looked?! He could only have been early twenties.

It said 2002 at the end of the video somewhere.

The publish date was 2002, but you can tell the Japanese footage was well older than that. The drifters were refering to drifting as "not accepted" and "becoming more popular" so obviously this was well before D1 which didn't even start until 2001, but there were other various exhibition style events before that ever came, and this footage even preceded that. I'm guessing this is late '90s footage, maybe '98. This is some good stuff, I doubt there's anything circulating with drift footage that old.

I have that DVD. I got it for Christmas back in 02 or 03 from my wife. I still break it out every so often. But for the record, street drifting is still no accepted and that what they are talking about. If you notice, in the scene with Kazuya "chunky", komatsu is driving the blue 180sx in the streets and he was using that car in the 2001-2002 area.

Right click save target as...Then right click, and then open with your torrent client.
