I seen a mecialago (sp?) this winter plowing through about 8 inches of snow, do that in a viper.

AWD with electronic vs RWD with no electronics at all.....No high hp/tq rwd is going to do as well as an awd that has a computer that can make up for your mistakes.

I understand all that, I was pointing out how much more versitile the lambo is. And i know it costs twice as much. I think it would be cool if gm and dodge made awd versions of the vette and viper. kinda like the gs-t (rwd) and gt-r (awd) skylines.

Vipers/vettes were meant to be rwd. Why bother trying to make an awd car to compete with others when their standard cheaper rwd cars are faster? Too make them good in the snow? That is a waste of research and development money.

No to give the buyer a CHOICE, of rwd or awd. Kinda like porche, they would probably sell more. Some people want a sports car that can be driven all year round. There were rumors about a awd cobalt to compete with the evo and sti but that never happend. The probably would have sold a shitload.
