thats because the c4 sucked in 87, and 86, and 88 and 84 and 85 and 89 and 91 and 90 and 92... only then, did they start to turn things around. that is with the exception of the zr-1 in 90 etc..
p.s. where were those lumina ss's located. they were not in america.

Some of those c4's were truly dogs...(i.e. L83, L98 w/ 200 - 250 hp), but others were pretty fast, like the LT4 grand sport (330 hp), ZR-1 (405 hp) or calloway twin turbo, which was avail as a factory option.

+1 on the LT4, but they came in more than just Grand Sports. I had essentially a Grand Sport with Red paint, chrome instead of black wheels, and regular black interior. It ran 12.9 before I even started modding it.
