finally broke my old record of 12.56@105.48 it could have been faster if the hatch wouldn't have opened and if it wasn't breaking up at the top of the track.. :banghead: |

It's the factory 2.5 turbo. boost is set at 28 psi, waiting to get it professionally tuned on a dyno and run around 35-36ish boost (if needed)
there's a lot of work done to it, but I wanted to retain the factory 8 valve SOHC head and factory block/crank/rods and rebuilt factory a413 auto. Last edited by ubmbass; 13 Aug 2006 at 07:48 pm. |

Yeah that is Paul Smith, he was the guy that had the fastest factory powered minivan for a long time, then in 11/04 I beat his 12.61 with my 12.56 now I just beat my 12.56 with this 12.29 should be much faster next time out. if I cut a good 60 ft, keep the hatch closed, and it shouldn't break up at the top of the track this time. Hopefully I'll get my goal of a 11.63@118

the ultimate sleeper, I love it.. very impressive. what does the van weigh in at? 28psi good lord! what turbo are you running on it and have you had problems with head gaskets?
it seems like 30psi is about as far as you want to go on my platform with stock gaskets. 32-34psi and you start pushing coolant by lifting the head even with arp studs

I have blown one head gasket the whole time I have been racing (4 years) It currently weighs 2460, I'm running an sc-61 precision turbo. 28 psi really isnt shit when the static compression ratio is in the 7.1-7.3:1 range. I could and plan to run 35-36 psi when I get it tuned (if it takes that much to reach my power goal)
