where do you get off seeing that the SRT4 won? as i see in the vid. the evo pulls him everytime. even at top end. there is one race where they had to slow down because of traffic. maybe im missing something.

This video was a freeway race from the looks of it, not the same as a 1/4 mile. Many Supra's have beaten cars on the freeway they can't beat in the 1/4. A stock evo will waste a e34 m5 on the 1/4, but on the highway the m5 takes it at 125+.

That's because every supra runs 12s :P

SRT4s aren't bad cars. Only thing I don't like is reliability... a turbo charged Dodge won't live long, unless its diesel

I like the Dodge SRT/4, but I wish they would make it look less like a Neon. No doubt the car has potential, but its still a grocery-getter..

ok, the e.t. of the EVO is better because of the AWD. since the EVO has more mph, shows that it would pull a SRT-4, stock vs stock. i am not arguing about anything, i like both cars. i am just saying that the EVO would pull the neon. i have never seen sub 13.5's from a stock SRT-4. eveything i have seen from a stock EVO has been low 13's. this race comes down to what was done to either car and driver.

keep the EVO a turboed front drive lancer, and then they would be about equal. AWD has plenty of advatages. the Supra's looseing in the 1/4 would tell me that they are not getting out of the very hard, i don't know. i think it would be a good roll race if the EVO had the same power that the M5 has.

um. go to evolutionm.net and check out some of the evo stock times. sub 13 sec for an mr. Evo is all around fasterand better quality car than srt4. def faster stock with a good driver, not by alot but add some turns into the race and bye bye srt 4. srt4 suspension is completely inferior to the evo. also i have never seen a 600 hp srt4 walking 600 hpmustangs. neon+dodge = 60,000 mi car with avg build quality and granted a powerful engine but not a reliable one. why are evos so highly acclaimed by everyone, ie magazines, highly accredited organizations, car and driver, etc and not srt4. poor neon owners. got the little man i mean neon syndrome.

Never seen s 600HP SRT-4 ? Keep looking on the internet. There are a few of them now.

Do I have a "Little man" syndrome. No but people who don't own one, nor have driven one seem to have a "talk crap" syndrome. The EVO is a better quality car then the SRT-4 ? REALLY? Why is it the SRT-4's over the past 3 years have LESS then 20 technical service bulletins and or recalls, where as the evo has over 20 in one year. Why is it the EVO STILL SHARES the same driveline problems the Eclipse GSX had?

Suspension, don't get me started. Drop that rear driveline in the EVO and watch how it feels just like a lancer. Rear wheel power helps over come ALOT of design inferiorities.

Go back to your "Bench Racing" with your buddies and STFU.
