A properly set up v8 turbo most likely wont count'em off cam wise like an n/a cammed up v8 will. The lobe seperation (LSA) on a turbo cam should be higher than 116, (not very choppy) to prevent the bleeding off boost. My cam is on a 112 lobe seperation angle, thus making it more choppy and cammed up sounding. Most turbo v8 guys that actually know what they are doing will run a cam that is 116-118 LSA, basically a stock cam in an LS1 is a great cam for turbo applications. Just FYI.

Well I've been lucky enough to have both high hp na and turbo motors in the same car- my 1st gen RX7.

To be honest I really do prefer the turbo motor for 'feel' but for what I am doing with the car a well built (ie race toleranced, ported) na motor is a better choice- simpler, less heat, just as quick as a 'mild' turbo setup.

So turbo is my overall choice.
