I feel like stiring the shit pot up. On an old favorite argument on here.
Corvettes are cheaper, faster, and handle better then vipers.. what does MOPAR have to offer for the 20k more price tag? besides the obvious displacement this is a stock vs stock thread, not a "OH IF I HAD SOM TIGHT AZZ TT'S ON DAT ***** I WOULD SO PWN TEH VETTE" ....

viper has a more exotic look and reputation, a V10 and the rarity factor. The viper is also less practicle for a cruising car, you will burn your leg getting out on the hot side exit exhaust, gas guzzler tax, and just the fact that you own one means that your penis is 3 inches long and you need the car to even get a women to look at you somewhat.
Vette has a more historic all American vibe to it, it gets way better gas mileage, costs a lot less, performs slightly better in a few catagories on 2 less cylinders, is a better daily driver. It wont draw the look a viper will, but real cars guys know what's up, performance parts are cheaper. Viper brings more bragging rights and will draw a bigger crowd.

i prefer early 70s vettes but the zakspeed viper is awsome so hum? good question. in today's 2008 showroom models it's a tough choice:
1st of all it's 15k U$ more; 2nd, it's a 510cid 600hp V10 versus a 427 505hp V8; 3rd, torque and weight: 560 for 3450lbs vs 470 for 3132lbs; so you could think a 5k went towards 2 more cylinders and displacement. the other 10 tho is a good question... Quote:

C7? thats the upcoming base 2008 model, no? you mean Z07, the one with the supercharger right? that one will be (almost?) as expensive as the viper and prolly heavier than the current Z06. but it'll still have less torque than the srt10. if it were my money, i'd rather invest in a weight reduction and a front diffuser at that point...

Z07 ZR1, my bad haha. but the hp your getting out of it will dominate the viper.. and you think the viper thats goung to have 600hp will be the same price as it is now?? yeah right lol
