Here's a little story for you:
I bought a vintage VW roof rack about 6 months ago from a guy at a Danish VW Forum. We agreed that I could collect it from one of his friends who live close by me, and I transferred him the money about USD275 via my bank. Then I got sick and didn't leave the house for app two months and forgot about the rack entirely. Until yesterday when I logged on to my account at the Danish site again. I then wrote to him to inquire about the roof rack and what had happened to it. He wrote that it was long gone and that he sold it along with another VW bug he had. I ask then if he might do a refund of the money? And he writes that when agreed to collect the item I should have done so and that he won't refund me anything because the roof rack is no longer there. What would you do? ![]()

You paid for the rack and agreed to pick it up but by not communicating with him for 6 monthes about it what is he suppossed to do? You did pay for it and he sold it but you can't expect the guy to hold onto it for 6 monthes. Both of you screwed up.

With the item sitting around for a month? No but after that its the buyer/owners fault at what happens next especially with no conversations between me and them. Lets say I had the part you were buying after a month and a half of no contact with the person my buddy is naggin me that the part is taking up space and his wife is *****ing about it. At that point its either scrap it or sell it and I wouldn't scrap something that is perfectly good.
