I think that is just for the clutch disk and plate, what would it be w/ labor?? Not to mention if you did have one, it will spend more time getting fixed than on the road. They really are a P.O.S. for what you pay. If I paid 1 million plus for a car, I should be able to pass it down 3 generations of family before it craps out.
Don't get me wrong, I like a ferrari, just not the enzo. Me personnally, I would like a dark blue 550 maranello. Major pimpage right there.

Yeah the clutch might be 14k to change but come on...if anyone is actually going to buy one of these cars, 14k doesn't mean shit to them. I'd go with the F430 all the way on this just because it's probably more fun to drive. There are certain areas I'm sure the 722 is faster in, but on a road course the Ferrari is probably a greater pleasure to drive. Not to mention the soul, the Mercedes Mclaren lacks the soul that the Ferrari does. I've seen a few on the road and actually know someone who has one and it just doesn't do it. Look at the weight on the 722 as well, good lord its heavy!

I wouldnt count out the blue devil in the corners, either. Everyone knows even the C6 Z06 is fast as hell on a track, but what isnt so apparent when comparing the laptimes from the 'ring and other venues is that the exotics are often shod with r-compounds (i.e. GT3) compared to the "regular" hi-performance tires the z06 comes with. R-compounds are worth up to 3-5 seconds on a typical 2 mile course.... the blue devil with be an absolute track monster, both straight line and on a road course. Sorry for the hijack - back to the mercedes and F430 discussion.

I would take the mercedes over the ferrari. Is the ferrari more fun to drive? probably, but any car that spends more time on in the shop than on the road aint going to be fun. If I can afford a ferrari, im sure i can afford the repairs, but the downtime is unacceptable.
