ok, would you guys whether:
1. buy a car allready modded 2. buy the same car, with the mods that you would do to it anyways 3. buy the same car stock, and have some money to mod it yourself 4. just buy the car and keep it stock personally, i would whether buy a stock car (evo ) and mod it the way i want to (HKS parts FTW)PLEASE VOTE IN THE POLL FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then state your opinion why

buy modded because you can get it cheaper in most cases than buying one and then modding it.

"in most cases" should be in bold memphis. most of the time you see a modded car it is more then a stock one, just look and compare. i got my stang stock except the exhaust, no finger fuking on my car till i did it.

Knowing what I know now, I would have bought a well sorted out, modded car familiar to a shop I trust. You might pay a bit more for it than a stock car, but the parts you get will always be a ton cheaper than sourcing it out yourself. I dont think its possible to have built my car any less expensive that I did (mix of new/used parts, all installs that didnt require welding done by myself) and I still managed to put in as much money in mods as I did on the actual car itself - and my car is extremely mild compared to most ppls rides.
OR - I would have spent more and bought a superior platform that required minimal mods.. (i.e. c5 with a set of road race tires and its good to go) and avoided all hassles. I dont have the time anymore to be tinkering.. id rather just drive. Quote:

Buy it stock or as close to as possible. Unless u are buying a modded car from say RUF etc, I wouldn't bother.
The real question of how much it's going to cost to mod depends on how much you can do yourself. As we should all know by this point, most parts are not the real cost, its the installation/tuning thats the real cost if u can't do it yourself ![]() Buying a modded car is sorta like trying to turn a whore into a housewife. Why would u want some1 else car that they worked on anyway? God only knows what they did right/wrong. Or how badly they beat the shit outta that car ![]()
