--Did you know that some high school students decided to make a club for only the white students because the other ethnicities had them. they all got sent to court for being racist but the african-american, Latino, and Asia clubs were not even questioned.
--You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.

Why is it that only whites can be racists?

yup me abit to.but i just think its just as the title says.they have double standards. im white and proud i guess.so u can call me cracka and honky all u like it dont mean jack to me.. i guess not liking ur colour might have somthing to do with it????? or is there some other reason.

indeed me to.i guess the white slang names we get called arent as bad as all the other rasist names for other colours.

i cant called a person from pakistan a paki, but they can call me a brit.how foooooooked up is that.

the double standard is because white apparently have all the power and the minorities need something to bring themselves up to a similar level. Stupid double standards!

I think that it all depends on HOW the name is being used. I say ni**er all the time and people are always surprised. Then I have to explain to them that only racist people would find it offensive. There is a complete double standard though. Comedians are especially that way. A black comedian is free to get up on stage and say whatever he wants, however if a white comedian said half the kinds of things that he said he would be labeled a racist and never be allowed to do any shows again.

good post burgh. i agree fully. they may be the minority, but in a few years whites will be the true minority. In fact in Chicago NOW, whites are already outnumbered by blacks.... and possibly latinos.

Its absolutely rediculous. Everything that happened, happened hundreds of years ago. Everyone should get over it. Make things equal.

OOOO! i actually got this in an email not too long ago. and i agree double standards are bullshit, ill always remember this, i was in middle school and a black kid was ***** after 9/11 and was like "please dont blow me up" and then laughed about it. i returned the favor and said, please dont steal my tv. he then called me a racist *****... ??? then after he made a terrorist joke.. he called me a cracker son of a *****. so i called him a dirty coon monkey. he was like ****ing racist ***** imma kick your ass etc etc. then i suddenly became the racist??


why can any other race say "damn white people" and not get shit for it, but if i say damn "black, mexican, or asian people" its racist then...

gah.. such bullshit..

it humors me that there are people out there that think they are white.
I'm a mutt like the rest of us.
my daughter and her lil friend summed it up in about 20 seconds at the age of 4.
"why do they call you black... your totally brown."
"i know. and why do people call you white? your like apricot or somethin."
the two shrugged and moved on to the topic of ice cream.

Yup the double standard thing is funny and I think it is wrong but still with a lot of it I feel that way. For example you see cars with those "white pride" stickers on them right? now when I see it my preception of these people are that they are racist because I take it as they are proud that their people massacred whole towns and sold people like they were apples. Also since when is hillbilly racist?

The way I see it is that the vast majority that is not classified as white, thinks that they are owed something. The ones that got screwed over the worst are the ones that complain the least....The American Indians, maybe because there are not enough of them left to be heard complaining. I fully agree that if you speak you better do it lightly because you never know who is gunna hear you. You have to walk on egg shells around most black dudes, they are the quickest to pull the "race card" IMO. Like burgh posted they have the world given to them w/ colleges, special days etc....yet it will never be enough. I have even heard a black guy say " yeah we have african history month, but it's just like the whites guys to give us the shortest and one of the coldest months"....LOL....damn man, you got an entire month out of it, the Irish only get one day( st patricks day) Where is the Italian American month? The german American month, French American month, Jewish American month, nowhere to be found, yet they don't complain one bit. Give someone a yard and they want a mile.
