as far as rice to me it includes , stickers , HUGE Airliner wings specialy in FWD street cars, scoops , but i think a nice bodykit with a lil nice spoiler would look fine , and some nice chrome rims on big cars are fine too
but the last news i've heard here is that the fire extinguisher became rice , what do u think of rice?

for me, rice can be on any car of an price range. It is mods done either in poor taste or just done poorly but most of the time it happens to be both.

I think the definition of "Rice" is pretty simple in my mind. Not others though. Anyway, it would be "ANY" and I do stress "ANY" car that has a buncha stickers for shit they don't have. Wings that belong on planes. Universal exhausts that were purchased at meineke, (not talking about pipes, just mufflers) Non painted/horribly fitted body kits. Hood pins (plenty of aftermarket hoods without pins) Retarded "Look At Me" Paintjobs. I think the biggest attribute of "Rice" would be the thought that some1's slow ass pos is gonna destroy everything on the street. It's more of an attitude than anything.

Shit, I wanted to get pics of this shitbox the other day, some 240 with a duel exhaust system that obviously didn't belong on the car + sounded like shit, to top it off the car had a Porsche "Turbo" emblem on the back. Theres another 3000 GT around here that just screams rice. Has a horrible body kit, Gigantic wing, and Ferrari stickers FTW

i think its not only appearance its about the state of mind. Anyone that has little to no work done to his car and thinks its the fastest car every.

For example where we hang out at night a guy pulled up in a early 90s 200sx stock was talking shit to a guy driving a twin turbo 300zx. The guy didnt bother with him but an awd eclipse killed him then he came back making excuses and burned out and left.

On the appearance side i dont have a problem with bodykits as long as there painted and wings on front wheel drives as long as they came with the car its fine after market 10 foot tall "horsepower adding" wings no. EX: theres a guy in my town has a big as wing on a echo

It not only has to do w/ the car, it's the driver as well. If he/she has that " i own the road attitude" and drive their car like a mad man along w/ having crap mods that are worth no power yet they act like they picked up 50 hp from a fart cannon exhaust. It is a combo of the car and the person. I have seen plenty of domestic rice as well as german rice so it's not limited to imports. Rice has a wide variety of flavors. Just ask Uncle Ben.

Rice = any car with any non-functional part/modification designed to make it appear faster than it is. The key is whether the part is "functional".



For instance, one might say this is rice b/c of the outlandishness of the wing, but it is purely functional. This RUF porsche dominated the Virginia city hill climb for a couple of years.

Someone else brought up a good point that its also the driver that is part of the ricer equation. Anyone who brings up useless stats, like hp/litre, as a way of making excuses for the outcome of a race, is rice.
