In Sakura guy's defense, rice is one of those terms that has racist or at least mean spirited roots, but like most words that started off racist, it's changed over time (example: the word gypped, meaning ripped off, comes from gypsies but nobody even knows that anymore) Honestly though, take a chill pill, nobody said asians were bad at drifting or whatever the hell you think they were insinuating.

Lets put this to bed.We ALL have seen bad-ass cars from Japan.A few to mention WOULD be cars that are in Sakuras post.The Mines Skyline...VERY potent and very fast.The Signal Skyline in D-1 Drifting...also bad as hell.Yes a lot of Top Secrets stuff looks silly (mostly due to the gold paint)And JUN has a lot of silly colored stuff too.ALL these cars have one thing in common...they are purpose built machines.Ive seen my fair share of videos from Japan and their car culture.A LOT of it is silly as hell.The first generation drift cars looked retarded.Huge intercooler mounted on the front bumper with WAAAAAY too much camber.A lot of them have dumb looking body-kits too.BUT...one thing MOST cars Ive seen from Japan have in common is ...THEY ARE COMPLETE.The term "Rice" should be looked at like this....It is the American culture trying to emulate what Japan tuners and young people ARE DOING.They (the Japanese) are tuning there cars and making them look good.They spend TONS of money on their rides to make them look/run/perform.What "Rice" is...is these young douchebags....FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD....doing a poor imitation of that.Ive seen stickers on stuff that OBVIOUSLY doesnt have that mod.....wings big enough to suspend Bella in flight across the Atlantic given the right wind.....two or THREE different body kits PRIMERED on a car that has NO engine mods EXCEPT a coffe can sizes MUFFLER...NOT exhaust...MUFFLER....stereo set-ups that Radio Shack installed...too much to list.The point is this....Sakura...Get over yourself.Im white and I laugh my cracker ass off when someone says something about white people...WHY...cause I dont care.Besides...if you are Asian it should make you glad to see all those dumb-asses with all that crap.Look where the boxes with all that rice come in are from....China...Japan...Maylasia...ETC.Hoone said anything about YOU or "your" people.Only POORLY built...POOR imitations of REAL Asian automotive culture.

the temp, down here is much less than texas for ex,
but in the gulf countries its hot like hell it goes up to 50c degree
its a desert .
but dawn here it goes up to 37-39 c in summer and snows in the winter,
i cant wait for the winter to do some vids in the snow looloool
but fire extinguisher is only for safety reasons no more
it become rice when people put it in some dum area

thought it was funny that sakura guy thought we were saying all asian cars were rice considering if he didnt bother to read every post the pictures i posted had only 2 asian cars in them and i think ricecop went over bandwidth on those cause they aren't showing up.

Oh yeah, would the straight pipes on my 93 towncar be considered rice? Loud as hell but the car was slow.

LOL, yes Matt this is a technical "rice" violation and could result in a "ricer" summons Shoulda put a huge wing on the Towncar and strapped a fire extinguisher to the A pillar

There's a clause in the ricer laws that states any clearly outrageous modifications done ironically are not rice but an imitation, like soy.

Originally a "ricer" was used to describe a Japanese import vehicle, such as Hondas and Acuras mainly. Any 4 cylinder Japanese import crusing the streets looking to race. As far as spoilers and wings that a lot of imports use, I think that is just for cosmetics. Keep in mind that the Chrysler Crossfire is equipped with a functional spoiler that actuates at certain speeds. I've seen them on the highway. F1 cars can theoretically drive upside down going 200mph due to the downforce created by the front spoiler and rear wings. There some spoilers you can buy than you can control the angle from inside the car, but it would be way too risky and dangerous to be going that fast for that amount of time in your typical highway. Rather go to a closed, oval course and slam on the gas pedal to my heart's desire then to gamble with other people's lifes and don't feel like explaining to a cop why I'm going redicously fast.

I saw one of the same years with the front end and side skirts of a cobra, so the front and sides were extremely low but the rear was about 2 feet higher since it was stock. Looked dumb as shit.
