^You are an idiot. Who the hell brought up asians? We are talking about cars and not every japanese car is "rice" quit acting like we are generalizing the whole import scene. BTW the Top Secret V12 Supra is rice. Also I've seen more white "ricers" than anything.

Wow, not one person said anything about asians... And we are calling vehicles that have non-functional, over done parts rices. Not car that have big wings that actually increase the performance of the vehicle. Before you go off on a rant you should read what other people are saying.

Rice...yeah this "idea" of rice is subjective, in some cases it is not like the worst mods ever and such, but in others it may be debatable... i call rice everything that has mods that do not add performance, so a car with open pipes that sounds loud as hell no other mods... is it rice? in so many cases could be but as a matter fact those open pipes can increase some performance, besides those open pipes can be under the car so you cant even see the them.
Just an example.
Take a 4 banger into consideration..... the sound of the 4 cylinders cant be changed, it has nothing to do with rice, thats the ****ing sound of the engine, like it or not. I do prefer the v8 sound but that does not make any other sound ricer, it really does not.
The driver has a lot to do, but all humans, more males, have this "superiority" stance, it is normal to see that all mans are the best, the fastest, the richest etc... of the world, at least thats what they think or want to believe, having said all this its normal that every man loves his car and sees it as the best, some people over-react and to that is a little rice even more when they actually lose. To put it in other words a guy with a 9 seconds car can have a pretty "superiority" stance. So we conlcude that the "rice" stance of a driver has a lot to do with ignorance.. thinking 16s is fast and such...
About the discussion about displacement-power.. lol it is obvious that a bigger engine will make more power under the same circumstances and optimization grade.Example: lets talk about engines like pumps.. air pumps, a 7+ liter pump will make more power than a 1 liter pump.
Some people call "rice" everything thats not north-american...or 4banger...or fwd....
The word rice is the same to all, but the meaning changes from speaker to speaker

to settle the "fire extinguisher" debate: A car does not come w/ a fire ext. in it, not any that I have see. So, going to pep boys/autozone/advanced auto parts and purchasing the FAKE one that they mount to the passebger side A pillar is RICE. Or, if they did spend the real cash to get a real fire ext. the one they get is a 2 lb common house hold fire ext which aint gunna do jack shit for any fire caused by fuel, they need a purple K rated fire ext. for that. I agree that it is a good idea for all cars to carry one...........of proper size and IN THE FRIGGIN TRUNK.

Why would you want the fire extinguisher in the trunk? IMO in the car is better like under the seat.

^Anywhere in the passenger compartment becomes a flying projectile during a wreck or even a hard stop. Most fire ext. wont fit under a seat, if they did, it would prohibit the movement of the seat sliding back and forth on the track.
