good luck on finding a 1st or 2nd gen camaro in good shape, if they are in good shape people want a ton of cash for them. Best bet would be the 5.0L stang, they are still around in good numbers, parts are abundent and ultra cheap and even a crate replacement motor is cheap.

^ they will most likely need a lot of work/restoration and parts will NOT be cheap. Stick w/ the stang, it's the best bet IMO.

Are you talking about second gens? If you are I will have to correct you about that. Second gens are cheap and abundant, their parts are cheap and abundant, and the cars? Let me put this way, they were made for eleven years let's take look at three years:

77: 218,853
78: 251,983
79: 203,647

= 674,483

And the first gens:

67: 220,906
68: 235,147
69: 243,085

= 699,138

Don't worry there are plenty of cheap Camaros out there, especially 2nd gens.
