im looking for a jeep something along the lines of a cj or wrangler with 6 cylinders doesnt matter if its a manual or a auto

I know here in Canada you can buy used army jeeps, and hummers for dirt cheap, check with local recruitement centers if you have the same deal going on! By the way this week i saw a 72 2dr jeep for sale for like 4 billz!

Stay away from some jeeps: Late eighties to early ninties YJ's & XJ's have reanault or peugot manual transmission that are prone to failure, All 4.0 liter engines are prone to head cracking (check down the oil fill cap with engine running if you see coolant coming out of the head between #3 & #4 cylinder),
Dana 30 2 piece front axles can be problems. Just research your purchase well before you buy it!

you need to get your facts straight, first off the pugeout trannies were used in the 90 and older xjs and yj's with the carbed 4.2, as for head crackin it was only in 99, as far as the 2 pice shafts, to fix that just get a 1 piece shaft and seal kit,

now chvy2nove have you thought about a xj? you cn get them alot cheaper than a wrangler or cj and you can build one it to a vary capable trail rig easily

i just looked at a few and your right they are alot cheaper but price wise which would cost more to make into a trail rig

there mostly are about the same, the problem you will find with any model is rust, you may luck out and find a rust free one though

yea i was looking at a few and most had a little bit of rust and then there was this one that i found down the street with a lift already on it so im gonna take a look at that one
