That's a lot of digits...how about just 4188lbs.
I like the looks of the S60R, but yeah - cars are getting super heavy these days. The new 911 turbo weighs more than my 1995 Subaru Legacy AWD WAGON!
The thing with the S60 that just didn't work was the shifter between 3/4 and 5/6 gears - it was so hard to find it - same problem on the C30. I like the new styling of the Volvos though.

Why are cars so heavy? I mean the 911 uses all these exotic materials to keep weight down, and my 1991 MR2 with its iron block weighs significantly less...no carbon fiber or ceramic brakes required.

because of safety; abs, traction control, airbags, body structures designed for safety, and other comfort features like power seats, heated seats, navigation systems, and a shit-load other electronics.

Exactly - a bunch of crap! :-)
Really - these are (or used to be) sport cars. Now the 911 is some luxury sports car with heated seats, nav and other crap. Still though - the Z06 with it's HUGE engine weighs significantly less than a 911 with ceramic brakes.
My buddies 2000 Ford Taurus weighs less than a 911 Turbo. That ain't right!

Me too - looking forward to that. Looks like Mitsubishi is making a good come-back.

Just about the same cars that were at the Harrisburg auto show, except there was no Mistubishi. We also had a Porsche Carrera GT at ours which was sweet oh and a Mercedes McLaren. I have some pics but I am lazy and don't want to post them right now. Let me know if you guys want me to post them.

I think many of the car manufacturers remove them for the show.
