Default Pinewood derby
Me and my son are building a 'Pinewood Derby' car for him being in boy scouts, just took these pics after the first coat of paint. He drew the shape he wanted and i cut it out with a band-saw, then sanded it down, primered it and sanded some more. Will sand in between each coat of paint to get the smoothest finish possible More pics when i get more done.
After the paint process is all done, we have to get it weighed ( no more than 5 ounces total weight ) and add weighs if needed.
The screw and coat hangar are for paint purposes only

looks good, is the weight it has to be including tires and others or just the body?

hmm clean car, but aerodynamics might be a problem. i have made 2 of these cars,

I always put weeble people in mine. My friend won one year because he made a custom one that was like a foot and half long, then they changed the rules and said you had to make it from the original block.

Maybe you can help with an argument I had today with my girlfriend: when do you graduate from cub scouts(fun) to boy scouts (lamest waste of time ever)?
