sorry no engine pics right now we have the heads off, were switchin the cam back out for a crane cam, and were also doing a valve job cause one keeps getting pinched.... and it stays open too long... bad times... but yea... ill take pics as we go along and keep anyone who is interested up to date on the progress.

i will also soon have a few pics of my 72 opal, the person who had it before me was running it with the origional metal skins, they had a 427 blown on methane, running mid 8's in the quarter !, but the guy wrecked it and rebuilt it with fiber glass skins and aluminum floor panels, it has a chrome molley roll cage, and a very built 350, 600+ hp and rl 13.5k all roller engine

and yes it is considered a muscle car, origionally came with a 396,

I had a 72 Opel GT but I had to sell it. I was going to fix it up but the body was to far gone with rust and I really didn't have the time.

meh comp cams spends too much of their money in advertising and not enough in developing new technology. from my personal experience ive found that crane cams seem to last longer and they dont damge as easily.

but yea... i got the valve done ( finally, havent had the money cause i needed to replace a few lifters, which... werent planned in the budget) when i went through and checked the lifters a few of them were mashed... i didnt realize when we were adjusting the rockers that the lifters are non pump hydraulic lifters... ( they have HEAVY springs in there so they dont pump up till theyre at 5.5k or so ) sooo.. yea... we were adjusting them like regualar hydraulic lifters and in turn we bounced a few push rods off the top of the lifters and they were gettin jammed on the rim, and tore like 3 of the lifters up really bad :P, and also when we pulled the heads off we found out that the origional valve stem gaskets werent working correctly and were letting oil down on the valve when the engine shuts down... thre was about half an inch of burnt oil on the top of all the valves... which KILLS fuel flow and in turn.... hp :P .. but i got it all cleaned up and ready to go and tomorow im finishing up with timing..

i get paid this friday.... and im gettin some roller rockers !!
